Here's the most recent rendering of the Lincoln Continental Mark X1 I've been brewing. It's not an advanced concept (clearly) but it is aimed to put Lincoln back on the World Class podium. The news that Lincoln will henceforth be concentrating on volume models -the money makers- was sorely disappointing to me, as most enthusiasts are shaking their open hands at the Dearborn Lux Co asking "What are you Doing!?" Everyone seems to want a memorable, exciting model from Lincoln sailing around on the streets. So I arranged these pixels to please the hopefuls' eyes. Enjoy!
I like! This is like motor trend level rendering, you should email them and see if they need a conception visualization guy. I like these proportions but since I've seen you use them with the Ford that's still what I see. I'd like to see you do a more luxurious proportion, the 7 Series or maybe even a phantom proportion for Lincoln feels more appropriate
ReplyDeleteThanks! If and when I do a luxo-barge like the 7 series, it'll have proportions transplanted from the E38 or F12 Gran Coupe. The current 7 and Phantom are both too fat.
DeleteAlso turn off your captcha, Mooch already yelled at me for that, it makes it harder to comment
ReplyDeleteNice! I think the front overhang is a bit long, but that seems to be your thing if looking at the Mach 1 rendering is any indication. Obviously, a subjective comment. It'd be cool if Lincoln did something like this. But sadly, I think design guys like you are too much for the suits at US car companies. Keep drawing, tho! Maybe someone will get inspired!
ReplyDeleteThank you! The front overhang is only about an inch longer than the SLS. I added quite a bit to the rear, though (~4"). These cars have a TON of plan view on the front. A disclaimer from the articles you may have read- this isn't supposed to be based on a Mustang- I was aiming for a pricepoint a fair bit higher than that.
